Stephen Ministry exists to serve God by bringing Christ’s healing love to hurting people.
If you are hurting and want support, the Stephen Ministry team (named after Saint Stephen – the first lay care giver) is here to help! There are times when every one of us experiences difficulties, including loss of a loved one, serious illness, spiritual crisis, hospitalization, disability, discouragement, disability, divorce, job loss, loneliness and many other challenges. God never intended for us to go through these experiences alone. That’s why God has brought us together as a congregation – and why Snowmass Chapel continues to build its Stephen Ministry.
Stephen Ministers are people in our congregation who have completed fifty hours of training on how to support people experiencing a crisis, challenge or simply going through a hard time. People in need are matched up with a Stephen Minister to meet weekly and confidentially for as long as it takes. Stephen Ministers are there to listen, to care, to encourage, support and to remind care receivers of Christ’s presence in their lives. We would love to be there for you if you need us!
If you would like to learn more about this powerful ministry – either for yourself or someone you know inside or outside of our Chapel congregation – please contact our Care Coordinator, Sue de Campo, at (970) 300-1223 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
