MILKY GOATS & WATER-BEARING DONKEYS
Tanzania, the cradle of civilization, is place where life is very hard, yet the girls are named Gladness, Happiness, Prosperity, Glory!
A place of rampant poverty when it comes to material things, yet of unlimited richness in family, unity, love and faith. Most Maasai live a primitive life, yet their love for Jesus and embracing Christ in their lives is profound.
In concert with Rockland Community Church of Golden CO, your outreach contributions to Snowmass Chapel reach across the globe to Christians in remote Maasai villages via a program that gifts villagers with life-changing livestock. Donkeys are used to carry heavy burdens and are essential for improving access to drinking water for the impoverished widows & families that received them and who previously carried 40+pound water jugs up to 10 miles one-way. The Maasai are traditional goat-herders, raising their goats for meat. The goats placed are bred specifically for their milk production, which provides nutrition to the villages’ infants and children. Additionally, goats evidently are like rabbits and reproduce heartily, and we ask that the offspring be gifted to another family so the gift keeps giving!

Find a sense of purpose by helping individuals and organizations in our community. We work with numerous organizations who provide services to the elderly, sick, and homeless. Abuse, addiction, trauma, grief, homelessness, hunger, mental health issues – these are just some of the great pains and needs amongst our fellow brothers and sisters here in this beautiful valley where we worship and live, and Snowmass Chapel seeks to spread the love of God by supporting solutions that reach as many as possible.
By designating 10% of our annual budget to outreach, we provide critical financial support to individuals and families who are struggling, and free counseling and care to those who are hurting. Additionally, the Chapel’s Outreach Committee fiscally supports numerous local non-profit organizations that live out Christ’s mission of love every day.
